Munich shows its true colours

Paint - Finishing & Facade, the leading international trade fair, has opened its doors at three-year intervals since 1972, with Munich and Cologne taking turns in holding the fair.

The next Paint - Finishing & Facade will be held in 2010 from March, 24 - 27 in Munich and promises to be the world’s leading trade fair event for painters and finishers, stucco-workers, plasterers and drywallers, interior decorators and flooring layers. Around 500 exhibitors from over 20 countries will present their product innovations and new solutions.

Its contents are as multifarious as its name - 'Farbe' is the German word for 'colour'. Paint - Finishing & Facade is rightly considered a leading trade fair event for paint, decorating, building protection, plaster, stucco and dry construction. With its wide and varied range of products, methods and materials, it is the big magnet for visitors from the industry. The products presented range from innovative high-tech products to products for the traditional crafts.

Of the professional visitors, the majority are craftspeople who want to get an idea of the current range of products offered. A remarkable feature of this trade fair is that a very large share of the professional visitors are decision-makers. In addition, the visitors include employees from the wholesale trade, from architects' offices and design planning offices as well as from the residential construction industry and graduates from technical schools or training schools for master craftspeople.

Memories of Paint - Finishing & Facade 2007 in Cologne

Paint - Finishing & Facade 2007 yielded excellent results. Around 55,000 professional visitors came to Cologne to find out about the wide range of products available from the 454 exhibitors from 23 different countries. Thus, the newly revamped show has underlined its importance as the most important international finishing exhibition. As well as the established areas of paint, interior design, building protection and insulation, the show, which was held for the first time in this form since the merging of “Paint” with “Finishing & Facade”, also covered the areas of  stucco, plaster, dry construction techniques, tiles and natural stone.
